1. we're expecting wind gusts today in orlando that will be
hurricane-strength. what is the strongest storm you've ever been through? maybe
30 mph

 

2. i'm expecting two of my co-workers and one of their roommates to come and
hang out with me during the storm. with my husband, that will be five adults and
two children hunkered down for the storm. have you ever evacuated an area and
had to stay with friends or family? fortunately no



3. my single female co-workers are really worried about this storm. if you're
single, do you tend to be more frightened or upset about things that happen in
your life? do you handle things differently if you're in a relationship, in
general? yes. don't know



4. children outside my house are rollerblading and letting themselves be pulled
along by large umbrellas, which is really dangerous. i'm waiting for one of them
to get smacked by a car in front of my house. when you were a kid, did you do
crazy things during storms or in general? not really



5. during hurricane charley, some idiot in a mobile home went outside to smoke a
cigarette DURING the storm, and got smacked by flying debris and was killed.
what is the most stupid thing you've ever heard of someone doing during
inclement weather? not sure



6. my estranged husband is hanging out during the storm, and is really
affectionate. he's been "good" for over a month, even going to counselling with
me. how long should i do the "wait and see" before deciding to take him back?
another month? two or three? EVER? ever



7. my 24-yr. old boytoy dumped me this past monday night, saying he had met
someone that he wanted to see. to show i was classy and, frankly, "the bigger
person," i shipped in three bags of his favourite israeli treat with a note
saying, "no hard feelings ... best of luck and happiness for your future." then
it hit me ... what if he actually CALLS to thank me? what would you say if he
called to thank YOU after you'd sent such a gesture? (ps - i don't want him back
for anything but a physical relationship, IF that...) you're welcome and that's
it.



8. this summer i've become positively addicted to cherry slurpees from 7-11.
