Monday Mission

1. Postmodernism (a popular philosophy of the current day) indicates that there are as many "truths" as there are people; nothing is absolute (however, by its very nature, even the word 'Postmodernism" resists definition).
For yourself, what truths are absolute? Are there any absolute truths in the Universe? There are absolute truths in the Universe

2. Do you believe that you are still "teachable?" definitely!

3. To do something well, in most situations, requires study and practice. What's the most recent thing that you have done well as a result of study and practice. computers

4. If you had the time/money, what do you want to lean how to do more than anything? not sure

5. Those around us may often try to intervene, but ultimately each individual is responsible for the choices they make in life. Tell me about a recent situation where you had a decision to make, and those around you tried to
influence or direct you. Were they successful? Was that "help" welcomed? won't go in to details but it happened at work. They were successful and the help was welcome unfortunately the outcome wasn't that great.

6. Things are much easier to accept when they are given by invitation rather than being forced upon us. When was the last time you rejected something because it was forced on you? How did it happen? Did you hold a grudge
about it? Was it ever resolved?  too many times to remember

7. Are you the sort of person who questions everything, or are you able to accept things without someone providing you tangible proof? most of the times I do question things

BONUS: Ooo baby, do you know what that's worth? million dollars baby!

Monday Madness

1. Do you like to cook? Why or why not? I love to cook. It's fun and I love food

2. What is your favorite recipe? Is it one you use on a regular basis? (Feel free to share the recipe with us!) I love to cook meatloaf.

3. If you owned a restaurant, what would the theme be? What would your restaurant be called? not sure what the name or theme would be but there would be lots of different things on the menu

Two for Tuesday

1. Name 3 products you use daily. soap, shampoo, deodorant

2. When it comes to hair care, soap, toothpaste, etc. are you brand loyal or do you shop for the best bargain? brand loyal because if I find what I like I stick to it.

This-or-That Tuesday

1. Lying down on the couch, or stretching out on a recliner? couch

2. Going barefoot or wearing soft slippers? barefoot around the house

3. Eating ice cream, or pizza? Both

4. Watching on TV...a classic movie or a reality show? classic movie

5. Wearing: blue jeans or sweat pants? sweats

6. A long, soothing bubble bath or a quick, invigorating shower? bubble bath

7. Furniture: leather, or something more on the fuzzy side? fuzzy side

8. Soft, classical music, or upbeat rock & roll? rock and roll

9. Darkness or light? light

10. Thought-provoking question of the week: You get married, or otherwise begin cohabitating with a significant other. S/he moves into your place, but brings with them the UGLIEST chair you have ever seen! You really don't want this thing
in your home, but SO says it is the most comfy chair s/he has ever sat in, and no way will they part with it. Do you: grin and bear it, or scheme to get rid of the montrosity somehow? maybe try to get them to re-cover it if not it can go in to a seldom used part of the house.

Wednesday What-Ifs

1. What if you were offered the chance to travel back in time to stop yourself from doing something really stupid that you now regret having done? I wouldn't take it.

2. What if you could travel forward in time to see what the "you" of the future is like? That I might do

3. What if you could travel back in time to change one world event? Maybe, depends on the circumstances.

4. What if you could choose to relive a single day in your life over and over again, as much or as little as you want -- what day would it be? Not sure.

5. What if you were offered the chance to travel forward in time and see your death -- the date, time, and cause?  There are some things I don't want to know.

The Thursday Thumb-Twiddler

1. To what organization do you feel the deepest loyalty? What ties you most to that group? the American Library Association. Because I am  Librarian

2. Would you euthanize your healthy, happy pet for $50k? How about $1 million? No way!

3. Of all the US presidents during your lifetime, which one is/was your favorite? I have 2 actually. My second grade teacher took us in to the school gym to see her vote for president - Jimmy Carter. I still remember getting out of school early to see his inauguration on TV. I also like Clinton because so far he is the only presidential candidate that I voted for that actually made it in to office.

Thursday Threesome

Onesome: See- What do you see when you look out your kitchen window? Just curious... my back yard.

Twosome: Spot- Okay, pet names... Come on; not everyone has a "Sparky" or a"Fluffy". If you have a pet or two, what did you name them? Hmmm... No pets? How about a 'pet name' for someone close to you? Larry Daryl and Daryl

2) A good friend is a bouncer at a Mafia-owned club. He urgently needs a place to hide. Do you hide him? no

3) Your friendly hairdresser has the sniffles and unconsciously wipes his nose with his hand. You're having a haircut. Do you say something? Yes, but I would try to figure out a nice way to do it.

participation positives

I made it through the week

I have a job and I love it. I had a good 6 mos. review this week.

I love and am loved

They came to install the part to the air conditioner  in time  for
me to be at work on time today.

I have a fun weekend coming up.

I got an A in one of my classes and took the mid-term for the other this week.

I am seeing El Greco to Picasso at the Phoenix art museum and then meeting co-workers for lunch. Then I might see the new Lizzie McGuire movie. Also things need to get done around the house on Friday. I will hit the mall on Saturday.
Sunday I spend with my parents and brother. I finally saw Ice Age and A Walk to Remember. The last one is a very sad movie! I rented Maid in Manhattan from work. I hope to watch it this weekend as well.
