Monday Mission

1. Would you rather impress or influence others? Why? Which do you tend to do more than the other? Influence because its better. Impress

2. Are you able to admit your weaknesses to others? How do you handle your weaknesses (Can you accept them and see them as a strength? (Do you strive to overcome them? etc.) I'm not able to admit my weaknesses very well. I don't handle them very well.

3. How do you react when you are bossed around, treated as inferior or taken advantage of? Unfortunately I tend to bottle everything up inside when this happens

4. Do you live your life to meet your own needs, or do you live to meet the needs of others? Why? Both

5. This is your Mission on Mondays, but what is your mission in life? Haven't discovered mine yet

6. Can you focus on your goals and achieve them, or are you sidetracked by minor distractions along the way? get sidetracked

7. When was the last time you cried? What were you feeling at that moment (anger, sadness, etc.)? a couple of weeks ago.

2. What one thing do you personally believe all people should do or experience at least once in their lifetime, just to say they've done it? Lots of traveling

Thursday Threesome

Time to: Are you a punctual person, always on time? Or do people have to tell you that everything starts an hour earlier than it really does, just so you'll be on time? Or are you somewhere in between? I try to be punctual but it almost never happens especially in the mornings.

Spring: After a long week, what puts a spring in your step? How do you spend your downtime? on the computer

Forward: As we enter Daylight Savings Time and the clocks spring forward, do you like having that "extra" hour of daylight or would you rather just not mess with it? Or do you live in an area that doesn't follow DST? I live in an area that doesn't follow DST but it is nice to come home from work at 8:00 at night and the sun is still up

4. If you could play any instrument, what would it be? I play the piano and love it but I would like to learn how to play the guitar sometime too.

Saturday Scruples

1. Outside a conference room in a hotel, participants are enjoying sandwiches, coffee, and pastries. You could use some refreshment. Do you help yourself? No I hate it when other people do it at the conferences I've attended.

2. It's a sweltering night and you don't have air conditioning. Your new neighbors are away and their swimming pool looks inviting. Do you cool off in it? no way!

3. Your teenager nervously confesses that s/he is sexually attracted to his/her own sex. Do you react in a supportive way? Yes

In most schools, especially middle and high school there are certain cliques. At least when I was in high school 20 years ago there were!


Jocks, Brains, Druggies, Band kids, A-Listers, Rednecks, Sluts, Virgins, Rockers, Punks, Rebels, Loners, Losers.


Where did you fit in? Did you fall into more than one group? Did you want to be in a different clique? Did you feel comfortable in your clique with people just like you, or did you want to break out and try to conform to another one? Did it really matter to you to fit in? What about now, have you changed from the clique you were in, or are you still the same way? I was a loser. I felt comfortable in the one I was in. I wanted to fit in. I'm still the same now

Weekly Wrap-Up

1. If you could live in any fictional (movies, television, books, etc.) reality, what would it be? Why? I would love to be a detective in one of either Janet Evonavich's or Sue Grafton's books because I love the stron women characters in those books and would want to be a detective too.

2. If you could bring any fictional (movies, television, books, etc.) character to life, who would it be? Why? Andros from power rangers in space. I think it would be cool to come from another planet

3. If you could time travel, where would you go? Why? The future. to see all the cool new gadgets and technology.

4. If you could bring any historical figure into the 21st century, who would it be? Why? Melville Dewey. To find out how he came up with his classification system.

5. The red pill or the blue pill? Why? (Brownie points if you name the movie source for this particular question.) Guess this comes from the Matrix but I have never seen the move so I don't know how to answer this question

Participation Positives

I will finish one of my classes this week

I got almost everything done last weekend that I wanted to do and then some. But I didn't get my hair cut or my car washed so I will do that this weekend. I also need to take the final in one of my computer classes and go to wally world to buy the new harry potter movie. I work this weekend. I downloaded feedreader and am learning how to use it. It's fun.
