Monday Mission

Raspil alerted me to a web site that has taken

my writings and re-published it without asking my permission (it is a Xanga
site and you have to register to comment, so I won't bother linking to it).
While I am sure I have been plagiarized before (in fact, I know I have), I never
like to see it in action. But there is is, my writing, and even my code, in
someone else's blog with not one bit of credit to me. Maybe it was an oversight,
so I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt (for now). Have you ever
had your work (online of off) used without your permission? What was used and
how did you resolve it? No. fortunately most of the time people ask before
taking my things. On the couple of times they haven't I've left comments about
it.



2. Have you ever copied somebody else's work into your own without requesting
permission? Did you feel OK about that? How did things turn out?  yes I
felt ok. Most of it is  simple code that is in html books.

3. Are there any similarities or differences (in general) to someone using my
work without permission or compensation and downloading and sharing music
without doing the same? Can you justify one and not the other? yes. no

4. In the US, yesterday most of us had to set our clocks back an hour
for DST. Do you have "Daylight Savings Time" where you live? Do you like it?
Does your body adjust well to it? arizona. we don't change time

5. Last week I had to use a blade razor to shave because I misplaced
my electric shaver charger. I never shave my whiskers with a blade so I got cut
up pretty bad. All is well now, but I won't give up my 'lectric without a fight.
Do you shave? At what age did you start? Do you use a blade or an electric?
What do you shave (face, chin, legs, ears, etc)? Do you shave in the shower/bath
or at the sink?  blade. legs shower

6. What do you think about the religious groups that get so upset when
everyone celebrates Halloween? I don't understand them

7. Are you dressing up for Halloween? If so, as what? And If you do,
email me a photo and I will create a Gallery with everyone who sends one. I'll
be wearing halloween scrubs to hand out candy at home

Monday Madness

It seems lately any channel you switch to, any day of the week, there is a
'reality show' on. This brings me to this week's questions................

1. Do you watch any 'reality shows' on television? If so, which is your
favorite? If not, why? no

2. If you were offered a chance to be a part of any of the reality shows, which
one would you choose? Why? none

3. If you could pick your own team on 'Survivor' what qualities would you look
for in the 7 people you would choose? don't know.

1. Are you dressing up for Halloween this year? What as? What for (party,
school, work)? I'll be wearing halloween scrubs to hand out candy at home

2. What is the last thing you dreaded doing that ended up being a bonus or a
positive thing and you are glad you did it? lots of things none come to mind
this minute

The Thursday Thumb-Twiddler

1. Is it ever all right to seek revenge? What determines the rightness --
the nature of the offense, or the nature of the retribution? no but if you can
right something with in the law it's ok

2. If you could go back in time and live through any five-year period of
history, what (when, where) would it be? not sure

3. If you could write a sequel to any movie, what movie would it be? not
sure

The Thursday Threesome

Onesome: Cheap-- Cheap thrills? Are you and yours doing anything
for Halloween? Parties? Trick or treating? Staying home with the lights out and
an axe visible in the window? staying home and handing out cand.

Twosome: wax-- Hey, are you a 'candle person'? I mean, is that one
of your decorating motifs? ...or does this fall under something like the "No
Sharp Objects" rule in your life? yes I love them.

Threesome: treatment-- Speaking of treatments: do you decorate for
Fall? Halloween? Thanksgiving? ...or just pretend that deceased plant in the
corner really just lost its leaves for the winter? I usually decorate for
halloween but won't this year. I'm too tired.

2. What was your best costume and why? a nurse.



3. Did you ever play a trick on someone who didn't give you a treat? no.



4. Do you have any Halloween traditions? (ie: Family pumpkin carving, special
dinner before trick or treating, etc.) Decorate my house (except for this year)
and hand out candy if there's someone home.

Friday is dentist day. I also hope to have
lunch with a friend. Halloween. Saturday is with my parents and will do some
errands. Sunday get ready to go back to work on Monday. Where did these last 2
weeks go? I feel better but now I maybe getting a cold.
