Mission

1. The North Carolina Press Photographers
Association (NCPPA) recently took back a photographer's three awards
when it was learned that he had digitally altered some photos. I use
PhotoShop or other digital editing tools all the time on my
photographs. I never thought that was wrong. Do you think it
is "unethical" for newspaper photographers to use PhotoShop to alter
the images they capture? Should journalists be held to a higher
standard?  If they do it to lighten or darken the picture so it
is clearer than yes but anything else is unethical. Yes.

2. On the flip-side of journalistic integrity,
several newspapers are choosing not to run the Sept. 7 edition of
"Doonesbury" because it mentions masturbation. I just don't care for
Doonesbury anymore, but it made me wonder how much progress we've
really made as a society. Is masturbation a bad thing? Even in
the times in which we live, is it something that can't be spoken of
still? And just for grins, do you really believe people who say
they've never done that? I'm not going with-in 10 feet of this
question next.

3. If you had the power to be the Webmaster Almighty, what
one thing would you eliminate entirely from the World Wide Web? get
rid of porn

4.Did you grow up in the same town when you were young, or
did your parents move around a lot? How do you think that impacted
your life? Has it had any affects on your adult life? We lived in 3
different cities then I live in 3 different cities and it introduced
me to new things, cultures and people.

5. Who deserves to be called a Liar to their face? What
would you say to them to publicly humiliate them? ("Liar,
liar, pants on fire..." nothing

6. How do you picture Heaven? a peaceful place

7. Who do you hope to meet in the afterlife? my family and
friends

Monday Madness

1. If you discovered the brakes on your car weren't working, what would be
the first thing you'd do? (Assume that you NEEDED to stop.) try to find a place
to run in to that wouldn't damage any other cars.

2. Do you consider yourself to be a safe driver; respecting speed limits and all
other road rules? no

3. If you see someone on the side of the road that appears to be having car
problems, would you stop to help them? Why or why not? If I had the time and no
one else had stopped I might

Two for Tuesday

1. Did you watch the Jerry Lewis Telethon? Do you normally watch it every
year? not really. I don't watch it as much as I used to.

2. Do you give money to charities or organizations and if so, which ones? If
not, which would you like to donate to? Why? Texas woman's university and the
university of arizona and pbs

The Thursday Thumb-Twiddler

1. If you emigrated to, let's say, Spain, with the intent of staying
there, how long do you think it would be before you started speaking Spanish in
the home? Not sure. I speak spanish but I am not fluent. I get nervous when I
have to speak spanish so it would depend on how long it took me to get over my
nerves. I would want to improve my spanish that way though.

2. If you were magically named President of the country, under what
circumstances would you consider it acceptible to lie to the public? never!

3. If you were completely deaf, except for one hour a week, what would you
want to hear during that hour? Music

Onesome: Red- Stop! Take a moment from your busy day and let us
know what it's like now that the kids are back in school. Hey, even if you don't
have kids, I'm betting the traffic pattern has changed on your commute! ...and
not for the better, -eh? just a different type of clientele at work

England! Who's your team this year? Oh, college of course! (Okay, you can go NFL
if you'd like <g>...) University of Arizona!

Threesome: Green- Go ahead, tell us what is happening in your neck
of the woods as Autumn approaches. I've heard tales of the ash trees turning
golden in Pennsylvania while central California is still in triple digits. What
are you seeing when you're out on your porch?  It's  still in the 100s
here!

deep clean every other month but light dusting and cleaning of stains etc when
needed.

1.Your fiancé/e gives you a new video camera as a gift. When you agree to
break off the engagement you're asked to return the camera. Do you? yes

2.Your mate wants to earn money posing nude for art classes. Do you try to
prevent it? yes even though I shouldn't because I would be insecure in doing so.

The door-to-door salesman has nothing you want. He looks haggard and forlorn. Do
you buy something out of sympathy? probably

Participation Positives

I went to see Hanson in concert on Wednesday.

This or that Tuesday is no more darn it. I think it could have been handled
better. What it wednesday is on hiatus as well. What is with memes these days?

I was supposed to only work 3 hours on Friday (my day off) and wound up working
6. I have tons of stuff to do Today and tomorrow as a result darn-it.
Fortunately I can leave early on Wednesday.
