Saturday 8

1. my 8-year marriage broke up five months ago, and yet i still find
myself crying nearly every day about it. what was your longest relationship that
broke up, and how long did it take you to stop grieving the loss?



2. a new hybrid cat, the savannah, was featured on cbs this morning. an african
serval in bred with a 'regular' housecat. this results in a 30-lb. housecat that
will 'fetch,' like to play in water, and also cost $6K and UP. does this kind of
exotic cat appeal to you? why or why not? no too expensive and high maintenance



3. i mistakenly thought that father's day was THIS sunday (tomorrow). i
express-mailed my dad's gift because the mail didn't run due to the reagan
remembrance crap going on, spending $15 i didn't need to. when was the last time
you missed or pre-sent a gift for a holiday or someone's birthday/anniversary?

4. it's hotter than hades in orlando, and yesterday we got up to 96 degrees. i'm
chugging sweet tea like it's going out of style. when it warms up, what is your
beverage of choice? lemonade



5. due to the breakup of my marriage and stress from grad school, i've lost over
10 lbs. and need to purchase new shorts for the summer. where is your favourite
place to purchase summer wear, and what do you like to buy there? walmart



6. i recently purchased my favourite spanish-language films, "like water for
chocolate." i am SO excited to add this to my collection. what is your favourite
foreign-language film, and why do you like it so much? don't like foreign films

7. my lawn mower is broken, and it's been raining like crazy for a week so my
grass needs attention in the worst way. where you live, who takes care of the
grass? you? your spouse? a professional company? don't have grass. desert

8. reagan and ray charles died recently. it is said that celebrities die in 3s
(and i count reagan as a celeb because he was first an actor, then a
politician). even though this is morbid, who do you think will be next? not sure

miss it? Or did you even notice? didn't notice (came to your site too late to
notice)

2. RE: Current Events (politics, current news, etc) - Do you ever find
a story that you have very strong feelings about - - on BOTH sides of the
argument? Do you blog your confusion . . . do you wait until your feelings have
resolved on one side of the fence, or the other….or do you just ignore it
